Pregnant Athlete E-course
Pregnant Athlete E-course
By popular demand, I've designed a four-part, live, e-course spanning common myths about pregnant athleticism, preparing to have a durable pregnancy, as well as pregnant and postpartum athleticism. This course will include emerging evidence on why pregnancy acts as the best legal, natural performance enhancement, practical tips to get the most out of your own athletic pregnancy, and exercises for you to take home.
We will specifically cover tactics and exercises for progressing in your mountain running, climbing, and backcountry ski practices all ten months. I’ll weave in anecdotes from the pregnant clients I’ve coached, peer-reviewed science, and tales from my own pregnant to postpartum journey with my daughter, Rumi - including running two ultras, skiing the steeps, and sending my longtime sport climbing nemesis all while pregnant.
This cohort is designed for athletes trying to conceive, pregnant, and newly postpartum.
Intros + Myth Busting - Tuesday December 11th, 9am PST/12pm EST
Preparing + Acclimatizing - Tuesday December 18th, 9am PST/12pm EST
The Pregnancy - Tuesday January 8th, 9am PST/12pm EST
Birth + Postpartum - Tuesday January 15th, 9am PST/12pm EST
We will meet Tuesdays at 9am Pacific via Zoom - I’ll have a video recording of each session just in case you can’t make one of the sessions. Space is limited as I wish for this course to be collaborative allowing participants to build a community of like-minded professionals and ask a ton of questions. You’ll also get a copy of my Pregnant Athlete: Dispelling Myths handbook to keep.
I’m looking forward to helping you lay the groundwork for your athletic pregnancy and postpartum. I have coached pregnant athletes through injuries, ultras, ski seasons, backpacking trips, mountain biking journeys, and climbing goals. None of the athletes I’ve coached has ever experienced an overuse injury or a negative outcome to their pregnancy or postpartum health - all of them report that this course supported their mental and physical health and gave them the confidence to birth in the ways they chose. Yusss.
