as the weather crisps up in these parts my body comes back into equilibrium and the rock gets real sticky. this year I've logged at least three days a week on real rock yet have not sent either of my longtime projects. the pressure is now on to send before the snow flies!
every session out I try to meter my energy, to converse with myself and ask 'is this the day?' because if it isn't then I need to conserve and if it is time for a redpoint burn I need to be sure everything is right: humidity, wind, belayer, shoes, grime on the route from nearby cleaning. so far the stars have yet to perfectly align though this morning came mighty close. maybe tomorrow's session is the day?
the anticipation is exhilarating.
