a feather on an updraft, Cougar

This morning, the tribe had our first morning run in full light (no headlamps here!). Trillium, fern, american ginseng, seedling, and bleeding heart are popping--the last being the softest thing in the forest. Two stellars jays provided lovely indigo contrast to the jade and orange descent; we noted a woodpecker's work on a trailside stump; I gently rolled a dead mole off the trail after examining its clawed shovel paws and pointed nose. It seems all forest animals are out today moving, rooting, riding, and building--including us, the bipedalists.

I look forward to our spring morning run series beginning next Wednesday! If you have not already done so, visit the online store to reserve your spot.

In joy,
MN
